Podcast 11/14/07

Yup, still slacking. I promise a lot more content in 2008. But this podcast is an hour of hand-picked 1995 alternative rock. How could you go wrong here?

Podcast 9/6/07

The latest Archives Podcast is up. If you don't mind the whoosing sound from the original cassette, you'll hear some really funny stuff from my job at PYX 106 in Albany. Which, 17 years later, is still playing classic rock.

Today's podcast is the second half of Breakfast with the Beatles from August 26, 1990. And all these years later I still can't believe no one got the trivia question right.

Our Mission Statement

September 2007 will mark the 20th anniversary of the first time I cracked open a mic and spoke over the airwaves for the first time. Since that moment I backsold a song from Squeeze, I kept an archive of virtually everything I did music and radio-related--I recorded almost every show I ever did and every interview; I kept track of every mix I made (for myself or others); I kept a list of every concert I went to (which, to my current dismay, I really started slacking about updating in 1999) and a playlist of every DJ gig I ever did. All this crap took up a lot of space in my closet, so I decided I should archive elsewhere. Hence this blog.

Over time I plan on posting lists of every mix I made and sharing my efforts to digitize my library of recordings from the past 20 years.

Welcome to my self-serving world.
